Find out all about us here!!
We are a voluntary Lifesaving and Lifeguard Club, affiliated to the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS). We meet at Bradford on Avon Swimming Pool every Saturday at 5pm. We use the small and main pools so can train members of all abilities – all we ask is you are water confident. Our aim is to promote water safety, resuscitation and first aid, lifesaving and lifeguarding skills to all ages from 5 years old. We have no upper limit!

We offer a free trial for your first week before you make any commitment so .......Come along and give us a try

We have a dedicated team of teachers and volunteers who are all Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checked (previously CRB checks) waiting to give you a warm welcome.

For further information come along any week at 5pm or contact us on mail@boalsc.org.uk

Our junior members follow the RLSS Rookie Lifeguard award scheme
Those 12 years old and over can train for the RLSS Survive and Save awards
We also have an active National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) section, training for the formal lifeguard qualification, from the age of 16.

We actively participate in regional and national competitions so interested members train each month for these. 2013 saw two of our members become national champions in their age groups – Could this be you next?
As a family friendly club we organise fun social activities each year including a Summer trip and Christmas party as well as supporting national initiatives such as Drowning Prevention Week. We support the community and have assisted over 200 guides and brownies to obtain their Water Safety badges in recent years.

As a voluntary club we need help and support to keep the club active. We train members to become young leaders and teachers as well as our own lifeguards. We also require valuable administration and poolside assistance so if you think you may have a skill to offer or some time, however small, please let us know. We can offer training if required.
